This instrument is typically used during procedures that involve the removal of varicose veins. Once an incision is made around the area, the wire is inserted into the vein and tied so that the vein can be pulled out.

Tongue Tie - Plain Point stainless steel, plain point Grooved Director and Tongue Tie contains a plain point at one end and a butterfly-shaped director on the other end. This stainless steel instrument is typically used during a frenotomy to lift the tongue back and expose the frenulum. The frenulum would rest on the grooved part of the director and then be cut with iris scissors. Depending on the patient, this device is offered in various lengths.

Frazier Suction Tube angled, w/ finger cut-off, 4" (10.2 cm) working length Frazier Suction Tube has an angled tube and is available in a variety of different sizes and widths depending on the operation. This tube has a finger cut-off on a 4" working length and performs similar to a pump with a suction force. The purpose of this suction force is to be used in general operations in which materials or fluid, typically blood, need to be removed to provide a cleaner working area.

Suction Tube w/ removable tip Yankauer Suction Tube comes with a tip that can be removeved to allow access to tighter spaces. If these tips get lost, however, they can be purchased separately to be used only for the Yankauer suction tube. This device is also long in length and can range from 10 ¼" to 18" depending on the operation. The handle of this device contains an end that can be connected to a suction source in order to provide the suction power needed to remove fluids or debris away from the surgical site.
